Barbershop harmony is unaccompanied four part a capella harmony. We have four voice parts- lead, tenor, baritone and bass. 

LEAD is the melody. They are usually in charge of the lyrics and developing a strong clear story.

TENOR is the highest note in the chord helping create the sparkle. 

BARI weaves above and below the lead helping to complete the barbershop chord and create the classic barbershop sound! 

BASS is the lowest note in the chord- creating a rich, resonant foundation.
